General Purpose:

Key Deliverables:

  • Responsible for generating and pursuing new business opportunities in your designated area, through building a comprehensive territory plan
  • Day to day management of a centralised pipeline for recording prospect value & progress
  • Development of marketing campaigns and publicity to support your territory plan, whilst upholding the integrity and key values of the business
  • Achievement of New Business Sales target and standard expectations
  • Attending conferences, Bursar meetings, and any other events which are aligned with our target markets
  • Represent Zenergi and proactively promote our services with a thorough understanding of the benefits to the customer
  • Relationship building with new and existing customers including site visits, working in conjunction with our Customer Relationship Managers where appropriate
  • Price request, analysis, contract production and negotiation with customers including related administration
  • Negotiation with suppliers in-day to ensure best value for Zenergi and the customer
  • Review value/success of various business activities such as attending conferences
  • Responsible for a small portfolio of renewals in addition to New Business activities
  • Proactively manage your portfolio of customers to enable you to get to ‘know your customers’ identifying the key advocates and those that open new doors
  • Resolving general energy account queries both identified internally and from your customers
  • Speaking to clients, energy suppliers, and service providers to provide the full customer service in the ‘Zen Way’, tracking and managing customer queries in the company database
  • Assisting the company to implement updates to company processes as a result of technology upgrade, process improvement, industry regulation etc.
  • Provide backup for fellow Account Manager’s when required (sick leave, annual holidays etc.)

General:

Requirements – experience (useful but not essential):

  • Technical understanding of both Gas and Electricity supply industry would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given in order to deliver our high level of Customer Service
  • Experience managing a portfolio of business/ building territory plans/ managing pipelines and driving new business sales
  • Demonstratable experience of achieving sales targets
  • Sage CRM
  • Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook
Desired but not essential:
  • Portfolio retention in line with Key Performance Indicators through Indicative Budget forecast process
  • Co-ordination and management of supplier offers, feedback process and relationships
  • Production of quotations and contractual documentation
  • Management of Acceptance process up to point of Registration
  • Attending Conferences
  • Escalated queries and contractual disputes
  • Ongoing management and scheduling of Lost customers and prospects

Other points:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Office or Home based (UK Only), but with extensive travel for conferences and site visits, including overnight stays
  • Office opening hours of 8.30am-5.30pm, with some Flexible working hours available after 6 months
